Eco Coffee Company

In order to give our customers carbon neutral Eco Coffee™, The Green Cup™ & EcoWater™ The Eco Coffee Company, in partnership with The Green Earth Appeal, pledge to plant one fruit tree for every 10Kg of coffee we sell & every 4 cases of The Green Cup too.

This will offset the environmental impact of your products and its delivery, and in turn will help provide opportunities for developing communities around the world.

We also will plant a tree for any online meeting we have, as a thank-you for reducing unnecessary trips. If these meetings are to be done in person we will plant a tree to offset any carbon emissions from the trip. See our sustainably run meetings info pack here.

AS OF NOVEMEBER 2021 WE ARE OFFICIALLY AN AWARD WINNING SUSTAINABLY RUN COMPANY

See our National Gold Environmental Award Here

So far we have planted… …and counting

I am sure you will see that participating in the Sustainably Run tree planting initiative will be a great way of benefitting the environment whilst also providing food, education and economic opportunity to those that need it most.

The trees planted as part of the Carbon Free Coffee tree planting initiative will change lives.

More about The Green Earth Appeal

The Green Earth Appeal is a Non-Profit social enterprise, changing the lives of some of the poorest communities around the world by planting trees, in partnership with the United Nations Environment Programme and with the assistance of companies like ours.

The Green Earth Appeal is one of only 61 worldwide planting partners of the United Nations’ Billion Tree Campaign, and is a part of a network of charities and NGOs (Non-Government Organisations) which, since 1989, has aided thousands of communities in Central America, Africa, and Asia by planting 15 Billion trees.

The Green Earth Appeal helps to create sustainable and productive communities throughout the developing world, by financing the teaching and empowering of rural groups to grow sustainable, renewable forests for agriculture, food, firewood, construction, water collection and filtration and animal habitat.

Why plant trees? Because they change lives. They provide food, for both animals and humans as well as wood for fuel and construction. They increase agricultural yields, improve water and protect soils from wind and water erosion. As an agroforestry resource provider, our tree planting partners work with local farmers and community groups to help them better support themselves and to restore degraded lands to sustainable productivity by planting trees that not only thrive in poor soil conditions, but that also benefit the local area in a multitude of ways. The Green Earth Appeal is always looking to welcome companies who share a passion for the environment and empowering communities with more than just handouts. Enquire today about how you and your company can get involved in a way that can only have a positive effect on your team, customers and your bottom line.

The Eco Coffee Journey

Waste Coffee Grounds into landfill is a catalyst for producing methane which is 20 times more damaging to the environment than CO2. By tackling the waste the industry creates at its destination, we are helping deliver a cleaner tomorrow. Eco roasting technology is paving the way forward to creating a cleaner and more sustainable coffee future for us all. See below for the full, closed loop Eco Coffee journey.
Stage 1
We deliver an order of Eco Coffee to a customer
Stage 2
The customer expertly brews a wonderful cup of Eco Coffee
Stage 3
The customer stores the used Eco Coffee grounds in a special repurposed tub/bin
Stage 4
We collect the used grounds (at the same time as delivering the next batch of Eco Coffee to minimise trips) and return the used coffee grounds to our roastery to be dried
Stage 5
The dried coffee grounds get pressed in to a biofuel then that biofuel is used to fuel the innovative eco roaster to roast the next batch of Eco Coffee
Stage 6
The freshly roasted beans are then quality checked and packed in recyclable bags ready for delivery.
