Koro/Korinto Troubleshooting Guide

Problem (or indication on the display) Possible cause  

Solution 

(Check the following situations) 

 

“Water Failure” 

If the micro switch of the air-break float in the instant boiler or the float of the water supply tank, is not activated within one minute, the software disabled the machine.  with air-break : check if there is water coming from the mains; if this is the issue, wait for the mains to be resumed. 

Check the operation of the inlet solenoid valve. 

Check the operation of the air-break micro switch.   

Instant Boiler: in this case it is the boiler to perform the air-break. Then repeat above checks. 

With water supply tank: check the magnetic float and pump. 

“No Coffee” 

If the grinder exceeds the grinding speed for more than 5 seconds, the coffee selection will be disabled.  Check the presence of coffee 

Check the distance between the grinding  

Check the presence of the sensor  

Check the functioning of the relay K16 

“Waste Container full” 

When the float in the liquid waste tray triggers the signal micro-switch Empty the tray 

Check function of float and switch 

“Air-break” 

The machine locks after 10 selections the float micro-switch does not change position.  Follow “water failures” 

“Volumetric counter” 

When the counter does not signal any counting with-in a time-out set by default.  Check there is water 

Check the correct functioning of the impeller  

Check that coffee was ground correctly and that the dose is accurate. 

Check the coffee filters are not clogged 

“Boiler” 

The machine will lock if there is no signal of correctly reaching the temperature set in the software Check that the heating element and the STRC card are functioning. 

Check that the overheating control system was not triggered. 

Check the probe (ohm control) 

“CAN-BUS board” 

Failed dialogue between the CPU and the can-bus board that controls the SIGMA BREWER unit.  Check connections  

Check that the power supply is correct.  

Replace board. 

“Grinder blocked” 

If the grinder exceeds the grinding speed for more than 5 seconds, the coffee selection will be disabled.  Check for blockages  

Check that the overheating control system on the winding was not triggered. 

Check the sensor works correctly 

Check the activation of relay K7 

“Espresso unit” Or “ES out of use” 

If the unit does not reach its initial stand by position the espresso selections will be disabled.  Turn off and on to restart.  

If continues, check: the motor 

Check that the chamber is not clogged with too much coffee. 

Check switch 

Check the activation of relay K7  

“RAM data” 

One or more areas of the RAM memory contains altered or non-compatible data. Enter into the installation procedure and initialise the software. If continues replace CPU board. 

“Fresh-brewer piston” 

Default position is determined by the micro switch.  Check the motor has started 

Check the brewer chamber and filter is not clogged.  

Check the connection with the FB board 

“Fresh-brewer brush”

 

Default position is determined by the micro switch.  Check that the brush is new and the motor is activated.  

Check that there is no mechanical blockage  

Check the connection with the FB board.  

Espresso only: coffee is dispensed too slowly and it tastes burnt 

Excessive coffee dose or ground too finely.  Check that the distance between the grinding wheels is the factory default one. 

“Machine not in service” 

 Turn off the power, unplug and leave for 5 minutes. 

Make sure everything is in the correct location, cleaned and in good condition. 

Switch back on, the machine will now flag up the error code.  

Check above errors.  

“Grounds bin full” 

This occurs after every 25 drinks has been dispensed  Pull out the drip tray without opening the door. 

Empty, rinse, dry and replace.

Stage 1
We deliver an order of Eco Coffee to a customer
Stage 2
The customer expertly brews a wonderful cup of Eco Coffee
Stage 3
The customer stores the used Eco Coffee grounds in a special repurposed tub/bin
Stage 4
We collect the used grounds (at the same time as delivering the next batch of Eco Coffee to minimise trips) and return the used coffee grounds to our roastery to be dried
Stage 5
The dried coffee grounds get pressed in to a biofuel then that biofuel is used to fuel the innovative eco roaster to roast the next batch of Eco Coffee
Stage 6
The freshly roasted beans are then quality checked and packed in recyclable bags ready for delivery.
